It's Tuesday afternoon and I think my brain has finally woken up. Maybe I'm not as young as I used to be, but it sure has taken me awhile to recover from two 20+ hour road trips and 5 straight days of struction.
My overall thoughts on the trip are scattered. It was awesome and fun. We did a lot of good service. But I'm afraid that Christ wasn't always at the center of our fellowship. And as the "leader" I feel like I could've done some things about that. There was a lot of inappropriateness... most of which was hilarious... but when the trip is, and I quote, "one big inappropriate comment" perhaps we've missed something. Still thinking through it all.
Random moments of goodness:
-Playing the connection game with Justin, Jen, and Nate P. I've never even heard of this game. Brilliant!
-Leaving Jordan in Tennessee. Ok, leaving him behind wasn't awesome, but mad props to him for making spontaneous decisions and choosing time with his brother over school.
-Finding a toupee at a gas station at 4 am. I would love to know the story behind that one.
-Watching the sunrise while driving.
-Discussing un-super powers over all you can eat fried catfish. What if all have super powers... but they're so lame and random we never know it? Like the power to cause insects to go deaf. Or the power to regrow your eyeballs. Or the power to eat unlimited amounts of toothpaste.
