The Proverbial Sunrise Coming Up Over the Pacific

The plane to Phoenix kept getting farther and farther behind schedule... 15 minutes late out of Seoul. 20 minutes late by Tokyo. Then a delay and we were way late taking off. Then they didn't let us off the plane in LA for awhile, so I finally got moving about an hour behind schedule. Leaving me one hour to catch my plane to Phoenix. And get through customs. So I waited for my bag... picked it up and sped through customs... then I ran 4 terminals to get to my gate 10 minutes before boarding. Praise the Lord it was mild in LA, as I was jogging with a 40 pound pack on my back and a 20 pound one in front of me. After buying a muffin and sitting down, my first thought was wow, why is everyone so tall? And then wait. no one is noticing me. i don't stick out! Craziness.

Slept most of the flight to Phoenix. Ben picked me up at the airport and then it was straight to the FH office. Hung out with the other interns, enjoyed catching up. Eventually we went out to dinner and to see The Bourne Supremacy. Which was really good, but I was a little too tired to really enjoy it as much as I could have. Then I headed to Bo's house to crash. After almost 60 solid hours I had a hot shower... and it was awesome. After I hit the air mattress I don't remember anything, even my alarm going off, until Bo's 4 year old son was peering over me. Heh.

Today was an excellent day of catching up with other interns, debriefing with Bo and Julie and Sean and Nick, hanging out, and lots of processing for me. I'm tired, but don't feel terribly jetlagged or anything. Wish I could say more, but I don't have too much time or too much mental capacity yet. Home tomorrow!
