As was pointed out by a friendly commentator, my previous post was in response to an article that misrepresented the views of one of the commentators.

Religion News Service seems to have done a decent job at trying to fix their mistake. Other than not removing the original posting... seriously.

I'm still rather, mmm... underimpressed that the misquoted still feels that waterboarding may not be torture:
