There's been more going on than I've felt able to comment about. Suffice to say, the past several weeks have been rough, but have made me increasingly grateful for my community.
In other news, the episcopal church I've been attending had an All Saints Day service today. And it was sweet. It's good to be reminded that we stand along with Mother Theresa and Oscar Romero and Martin Luther and Martin Luther King Jr and Calvin and Wesley and Francis of Assisi and countless others.
Continually encouraged that everyone in Christ is a saint. That doesn't mean being just like them (see above), but it does mean that we're all called to holiness and discipleship and dying daily. And it means that if they could do it, we can do it too.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
