Let's just ignore the fact that I've been terrible at blogging. Something to do with a thesis, classes, internship, race relations project, etc.
Justin McRoberts came to ACF tonight! Woot! I don't have a lot to say, except that it was excellent. Lots of nervousness, especially when they showed up kind of late-ish. But really, everything came together, and he delivered an excellent show, a good time, and some really challenging stuff. Good times. Highlights include...
-Dinner with Justin, his roadie Greg, and the crack ACF team of volunteers/trustees/interns. Including a hysterical story about the worst honeymoon ever.
-Some sweet songs during the set. Some old favorites. Some new songs I am greatly looking forward to hearing again.
-Awesome post-concert conversations. Keith and Justin talking about Radiohead. Anthony and Justin and Jordan talking about YoungLife. And moving to the West coast. Yay for connections. Matt talking to Greg. Me and Justin in the car for a bit. Me, Keith, Justin and Greg discussing Islam and Reese's pieces. As Keith and I said after... goodness.
-Being reminded. Of lots of things. Poverty, love, cows, grandmothers. Being reminded that I need to be reminded.
-Some good quotes. "I want to cross the finish line of life throwing up on myself". Word.
Walked home in the rain and the goodness of God.
